Learn To Grow A Cool Season Garden / September 3rd / In-person Group

$50.00

This is a group workshop.
September 3rd at 6PM / Downtown Charleston (with parking!)
*the location will be sent after signing up

While we’re all tired of the heat, living in a sauna does have some benefits. It means, we can grow flowers, herbs, and veggies all year long (you just need to know which ones will thrive)!

This workshop is a beginner’s guide to learning to grow a cool season garden (this can be done in pots or in a yard). No green thumb or experience necessary! All flowers shown in the gallery were grown in the cool season.

***

In our 60+ minutes together, you’ll learn:
• An understanding of our growing zone
• How to read a seed packet
• Growing from seed, bulbs, and corms
• How to supplement your garden with nursery finds
• How to layout & design your garden bed or pots
• Creating a garden thinking about scent, color, and texture
• Extending the life of your flowers (which ones are best for pressing, color dyeing, and drying)
• Economical ways to get the most out of your garden

Reasons to grow:
• Finding more calm and managing stress
• Creating a deeper connection to self
• Feeling more creative
• Finding new ways to get offline
• Building more social connections
• Save money on plants / flowers
• Grow exactly what you want (no need to rely on what the nursery has in stock)
• Finding opportunities to move your body
• Making your space feel more special

You can take everything you’ve learned and get started or book additional sessions for seasonal support. Additional one-on-one sessions are $100.
